An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Rural Surveyor to join a small, energetic, and very well-respected firm of Land Agents situated in West Norfolk. Their practice includes estates and farms on the West Norfolk Coast to Fenland estates, acting for owners and tenants in one of the most inspirational areas for farming in the UK.
The Role
Based between the Hunstanton and Hillington Estate offices (flexible working arrangements can be discussed including working from home provisions), the appointment will offer a high level of responsibility from the start, and will be extremely varied and include a good balance of rural estate management and rural professional work as follows:
- For part of the week, acting as principal agent for a progressive, privately owned estate on the North Norfolk Coast, the successful candidate will take a lead role in maintaining, enhancing, and diversifying its wide-ranging property assets which include farmland let to four agricultural tenants, woodland, a residential and commercial property portfolio, beach and foreshore, and tourism and leisure businesses.
- For the remainder of the week, you will be based at the Hillington Estate Office undertaking a range of agency, valuation, landlord and tenant and estate management on behalf of established private clients.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally be qualified MRICS/CAAV with a few years post qualification experience, a good understanding of estate management, knowledge of farming, and the confidence for direct client reporting and independent working.
Furthermore, it is important that you are a strong team player with good people skills and a friendly manner, able to build relationships with clients and within this active and innovative team. You will have excellent IT skills, good attention to detail and be able to deal with a wide variety of tasks in a timely manner.
