An exciting opportunity for a bright, motivated and forward-thinking Rural Estate Surveyor to join the Estates Team on the Carington Estate, a traditional, multi enterprise family business centred around the picturesque village of Bledlow, nestled in the Chiltern Hills, with property interests in and around High Wycombe, Aylesbury and Milton Keynes, as well as Spalding and West Rasen.
Based predominantly at the Estate Office in Bledlow, Buckinghamshire, the role will also involve travel to Lincolnshire.
The Estate encompasses a wide range of assets, including both in-hand and tenanted farms, residential and commercial property interests, woodlands, leisure pursuits and country sports. It also hosts film locations, a holiday cottage, renewable energy initiatives as well as development and diversification projects which remain a key focus. In addition, the Estate features open gardens and regularly hosts events and activities throughout the year.
This is a new role, and responsibilities will be varied. The successful candidate will support the Managing Agent on a wide range of estate management matters involving all aspects of this progressive estate business. Key candidate attributes should include:
- MRICS/FAAV: ideally recently qualified or with a few years PQE with estate management experience. Applicants who are not MRICS qualified but can demonstrate relevant estate management experience will also be considered.
- A team player, friendly, resourceful, enthusiastic and hands-on, with excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to build relationships and communicate with a range of people.
- Able to take responsibility for your own projects, work independently when required, and balance multiple priorities.
- A keen interest in the rural sector with an appreciation of current and emerging rural issues.
