A unique opportunity to join one of Scotland’s largest privately owned rural businesses, Stair Estates, which covers approximately 44,000 acres and is comprised of mixed, but mostly rural, based enterprises including in-hand and let farming, let residential, commercial, and industrial properties, forestry, tourism, sporting, renewable energy, and a local media business.
Reporting to the owners, the role will involve being responsible for the majority of day-to-day activities of the Estate, as well as actively seeking out new opportunities for development, whilst working alongside a committed, forward thinking resident family, based in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Scottish countryside.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing / running a rural estate or small business (ideally MRICS or CAAV but other professional qualifications will also be considered). You will have excellent project management skills and a proven ability to implement a strategy and deliver across the whole business. Strong financial, operational and leadership skills which extend to being able to work with experts and the advisors and consultants retained by the business are required.
