An exceptional role has arisen to become a key member of the Eastern Consultancy team based in Suffolk and working with clients across East Anglia. The successful candidate will be at Associate Director/Senior Associate Director level (depending on experience) and will be leading the Suffolk team, working closely with the Head of Eastern Consultancy and the wider regional group.

The team undertake the management of Rural Estates across Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire and offer a wide range of professional rural advice.

Their technical excellence ensures an impressive client base and they advise some of the most prestigious clients in East Anglia. The role will be a blend of Estate Management and professional disciplines, working within a team encompassing offices in Suffolk, Cambridge and Norwich.

Key deliverables

  • Acting as principal agent for a number of specific Estates in Suffolk
  • Reporting directly to the Estate owners and beneficiaries, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the property portfolio, which includes residential, commercial and agricultural properties, as well as trading businesses in the leisure sector
  • Acting as Rural Consultant for a range of progressive farmers and landowners
  • Ensuring a consistently high quality estate management service is provided by the team
  • Team management, including mentoring and driving high performance
  • Developing new business initiatives and securing new business opportunities
  • Maximising cross selling opportunities with other teams in the business throughout the UK.

Skills and Experience

  • Competent and experienced MRICS qualified rural surveyor with experience of delivering work across a range of projects
  • Demonstrable team leadership ability or potential
  • Capable of building strong relationships with existing and new clients and generating new opportunities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and priorities workload
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An understanding of confidentiality issues and the use of discretion
  • Ability to network, influence and negotiate
  • Commercially aware and financially astute
