An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Farm Business Consultant to assist our Head of Farming in Oxford and provide farming clients throughout Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Gloucestershire with a full range of farm management services and strategic business advice. Responsibilities will include:
- Contract farming agreements and advice on farm business issues such as joint ventures, succession, planning, change of use, rent reviews and arbitrations.
- Financial monitoring and analysis including preparing budgets and cashflows.
- Insurance renewals.
- Capital expenditure advice.
- Grant applications.
The position will suit someone in an existing farm consultancy or farm management role or a rural surveyor undertaking some farm consultancy work and keen to expand their core farming skills. You are likely to have a few years’ experience and the following candidate attributes are important:
Agricultural or Agri Business/Farm Management Degree.
- Farming background (optional).
- Experience in farm management / farm business consultancy and be able to communicate directly and make recommendations to farming clients.
- A team player; able to develop a close working relationship with colleagues.
- Ambitious, energetic, self-motivated and happy to network with a business development orientated attitude.
