Lord Rayleigh’s Farms Limited is a progressive family-owned property and farming company based on the Terling Estate, near Chelmsford in Essex. The built estate includes a significant residential and commercial property portfolio together with commercially managed woodlands and renewable energy interests. The Company farms approximately 8,500 in-hand and a further 1,500 acres on a contract farming agreement, together with a joint venture sheep rearing enterprise in Norfolk.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estate and Property Manager. The role will be to support the Resident Agent with a focus on estate management and maximising the returns from the residential, commercial, and redundant agricultural buildings.
The successful candidate is likely to have the following attributes:
- Rural/estate management degree or diploma with approximately 2-5 years’ experience as a rural surveyor or property manager with rural knowledge, possibly MRICS or CAAV but not essential
- A team player, energetic, resourceful, confident with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills, able to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks and work independently with minimum supervision when required
- Business acumen, financially and IT literate
